SAIGON ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR (L)

Upon arrival, be welcomed by our guide and driver, transfer to Saigon center. Begin your tour of this fascinating city with a tour by walking along Dong Khoi Street formerly known as the Rue Catinat, the main shopping thoroughfare and heart of old colonial Saigon. Visit to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Next, head out to Cho Lon (China Town) continue to visit Binh Tay Market and Thien Hau Pagoda, build by the Cantonese congregation and dedicated to the heavenly goddess. Back to hotel for check-in. Overnight at hotel in Saigon.

 

SAIGON – MY THO – BEN TRE – TRA VINH (B/L/D)

8:00 am you will be picked up by our guide and then depart for My Tho Town in Tien Giang Province; dip into the beauty of rice fields along the way. Visit Vinh Trang pagoda which is the “must visit” site in Tien Giang. The pagoda is an ancient Southern gem with the combination of Asian and European architecture including Renaissance period and Romanesque style.

Next, arrive in My Tho, take a boat trip on Mekong River to visit farmer’s house and garden. View the fishing port, the traditional stilt houses and boat building workshops, and three islands including Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn and Tortoise. Also ride horse and carriage around villages to see the local life and taste tropical fruits and honey tea at bee-keeping farm; listen to traditional music and visit coconut candy manufacturer. After that, roam around villages to get deeper understanding of local life.

Continue your trip to Mekong Garden where you will immerse in the peace and beauty of the countryside. After check-in the bungalow, have a short bike ride or wander around the area surrounded by orchards, rice fields, canals and lines of coconut tree. After that have a cooking demonstration in which you can learn to make Vietnamese food.

 

MEKONG GARDEN – CAN THO (B/L)

Have breakfast in Mekong Garden, and then have bike tour around the village to immerse the beauty: channels, palms, rice fields…Visit mat manufactures and discover the local life and other types of handicraft of the locals in Mekong Delta. You can also help the locals with farming activities and see friendly, smiling and welcoming people. After having lunch, continue your trip to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho and check in at the hotel. Visit Ong pagoda, ancient house of Binh Thuy – a colonial house. Have dinner and stay overnight in Can Tho.

 

CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CHAU DOC (B/L)

You are going to visit Cai Rang floating market in the morning. The landscape is very beautiful: hundred sampans with full of rice, fruits and handicraft products…they are here to exchange their products. We will then visit the central market and explore the local activities. After leaving the market, we are going to visit a luxuriant orchard of Little Hien Farm and enjoy the fruit picked up by yourself. After lunch, continue to Chau Doc. On the way, visit the Bang Lang bird sanctuary for watching thousands of egrets, herons, cormorants back to the nest at sunset... Continue to Chau Doc. Dinner and overnight in Chau Doc.

 

CHAU DOC – TRA SU ORNITHOLOGICAL PARK – CAO LANH – SAIGON (B/L)

After breakfast, head out to Cao Lanh, Dong Thap. Upon arrival, board the boat for riding in the area surrounded by cajuputs which are big trees give you the impression of being at the heart of the jungle (Xeo Quyt Ecotourism). After that, depart to Tam Nong to visit Tam Nong Ornithological Park which is ranked 2000^th Ramsar site in the world and the 4th in Vietnam. The park covers about 8000 ha with 130 species of plants, 56 species of animals and 147 species of birds. Return to Saigon in late afternoon. Tour ends.
